Official Opening of the Prep School Building
Last Friday saw the official opening of the Prep School building by Dr A.J. Pittorino.
It was a delight to welcome Dr Pittorino, the original owner of the land on which the College sits, and also to welcome Mr David Bradbury, the Federal Member for Lindsay, to the opening.
The Commonwealth Government gave the College just over $500,000 towards the cost of the building. We gratefully acknowledge this contribution from the Commonwealth Government.

Mamre Anglican School's Offical Opening

Congratulations to the school community for the wonderful opening ceremony on Monday 17
th August. There was a real buzz during the afternoon tea with many visitors commenting on the excellence of the performances, readings and prayers. The symbolism of the opening was highlighted by the passing on of the Candle from our outgoing Year 12 students to the very youngest of our students in kindergarten.
There were a number of Principals in attendance from no less than six other Corporation Anglican schools as well as the MAS board members and employees from Group Office.
A special mention should be made to the parents who supported the school on the day.
The student leaders were prominent including School Captains Jessica Blechynden and Leigh Phillips, ably assisted by Lachlan Micallef and Madisyn Gale. The bible reading by Ethan Davies was outstanding.
Here follows the reading from Philippians 1:9-11
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is the best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Christ Jesus – to the glory and praise of God.”
A wonderful day was had by all!
Glory to God in the highest.
